Shallow Roots

And I thought trees in AZ had shallow roots.  This one from Belize isn’t even in the GROUND all the way.

Port of Belize

I snapped this shot as we left Belize City.  The cruise ship couldn’t dock due to the depth, so we were taken to shore via a small Navy of boats.  We were then dropped off at this festive location.  Not too shabby.

Cannonball!

This old cannon is a decoration in Belize.  It was part of the port defenses back in the day.  I was able to snap this picture while the bus was taking us to our Zip-Line and Cave Tubing excursion.  Fun stuff.

Menu from Belize

I snapped this picture while on our cruise in 2009.  We were on the bus headed back to the ship from a day of zip lining and cave tubing, and I just had to take a picture of the options at this exquisite restaurant in Belize City.  The main language in Belize is English, so that made it easier to communicate, but I assume they mean “armadillo” there.  Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to stop.
