My brother-in-law Philip brought this crab to one of our family functions, so we decided to play around with the camera and see if we could get any cool shots. Here are some close-ups.
That’s my Dad and his dog Shadow lounging on a rock at Lake Pleasant. He found Shadow when she wandered over to the church one day, and he’s had her ever since. And yes, it’s typical for the two of them to be lounging.
This is one of our pet tortoises that we were able to get from a friend that I work with. Yes, they are tiny now, but they’ll get a lot bigger (well, EVENTUALLY they will). We took this picture the day we brought them home.
This guy swam over our heads at the Sea Life Aquarium outside Legoland in Carlsbad, CA. We were going through the long viewing tube, and this was the best picture I was able to snap. You can see his teeth and the interesting placement of his gills. Beautiful animal.
Well, it’s a squirrel monkey, not a spider monkey, but you get the point. I was able to snap this shot while walking through the squirrel monkey exhibit at the Phoenix Zoo, a favorite spot for the kids.
These guys are swimming around in Stingray Bay at the Phoenix Zoo. We went on a sunny day this past spring, so there was plenty of light to get these shots through the water. The older kids were fine petting and touching the rays, but Dawson wanted nothing to do with them. Oh well.
