Well, it’s a squirrel monkey, not a spider monkey, but you get the point.  I was able to snap this shot while walking through the squirrel monkey exhibit at the Phoenix Zoo, a favorite spot for the kids.

I was able to snap this picture from a hill we used to hike with the kids when we lived on Geronimo.  There’s a water tower directly behind us here, and we wanted a picture of our neighborhood from up high.  Gotta love that desert landscape.  And yes, you really can see our house (at the time) from there.

Stingrays

These guys are swimming around in Stingray Bay at the Phoenix Zoo.  We went on a sunny day this past spring, so there was plenty of light to get these shots through the water.  The older kids were fine petting and touching the rays, but Dawson wanted nothing to do with them.  Oh well.

Mmm . . . pizza

Delicious.  This is a close-up of a pepperoni pizza from the Peter Piper Pizza in Casa Grande.  This was from a T&T Milestone activity.  Now I’m hungry.

Tortoise

Here’s the big tortoise at the Phoenix Zoo.   They estimate he could be up to 150 years old.  That explains the wrinkles.

Fly-By

Here we go, into the wild blue yonder . . .

Gas Cap Fail

We saw this guy driving down I-10 east near Pecos Road on the way home one day.  Gas cap fail.

Baby Fingers

Who DOESN’T like baby fingers holding adult fingers?  This is Ella gripping Clarinda’s hand tightly.

No Smoking

I took this picture outside the Circle K in Chandler. The irony is that the cigarette on top of the propane tanks is from a Circle K employee. Jake and I snapped the picture, then ran for our lives.
